This model represents a fictitious cement works, which is situated somewhere in the Midlands. Train loads of coal arrive and are taken into the plant. Empty wagons are then taken out. From time to time, trains of cement vehicles leave the plant and nearby mixed freight trains can be see arriving and leaving a distribution depot. The layout also features a DMU operated passenger branch line to Badley station.

This layout represents the New Jersey based Lehigh Valley railroad of the late 1950s to the mid 1970s. Coal and boxcar traffic are the main work of the valley and are represented by the power station and coal hopper sidings. Other industries include the Valley Fruit warehouse and Atlas Timber.

View from behind the signal box at the LNER main line locomotive depot. the model is based on how it appeared in 1946 when it was home to 53 locomotives. These locomotives ranged from Y1 Sentinal shunters to B12 express locomotives.

A fictional layout based on the Murnau to Oberammergau line in Germany. The model depicts how things may have looked in the summer of 1913.
