NGS Snowplough an award winner!
The N Gauge Society’s BR Independent Snowplough has been voted "Model of the Year" in the N Gauge wagon category by the readers of Model Rail magazine and the RM Web internet forum.
The model was produced by Dapol and was the result of a high level of collaboration between the NGS and the manufacturer.
In all, eight versions have been produced so far in liveries from original BR plain black to the latest Network Rail version, covering the long lives of the prototypes. A further five versions are currently being produced.
Dapol’s Dave Jones says: "We put in a lot of effort to get this model as good as it could be for the N Gauge Society and are delighted that all that hard work has paid off."
N Gauge Society vice president Ben Ando says: "The NGS’s first ready-to-run model, the Stove R 6 wheeled parcels van, was runner up in the same competition last year, so to win this year, with our second release, is an achievement everyone in the NGS is very proud of. We’d like to thank all our members for supporting our ready-to-run projects."
