Competitions
The NGS runs two distinct types of competition for members. Our Journal runs regular competitions with locomotives or rolling stock as prizes, while our AGM includes our Annual Model Making Competition, where members display the results of their latest projects.
Annual Model Making Competition
Held alongside our AGM, beginners and experts have a chance to demonstrate their skills and inspire others with projects across a wide range of classes, covering rolling stock, locos and scenery. As well as coverage here on the website, photos and descriptions of the winning entries are included in our bi-monthly Journal.

Journal competitions
Our Journal also runs frequent competitions, with brand new rolling stock or locomotives as typical prizes. There are several different types of competition, including crosswords, wordsearch puzzles and railway knowledge questions.
