Cumbrian Mountain Lines Gallery
The Cumbrian Mountain Lines is a large layout built by Ed Mulholland in his basement in Canada, which has taken 7 years to construct.
The Cumbrian Mountain Lines is based on the Settle to Carlisle line, which Ed discovered during various geography and geology field trips to the area as a teenager.
The layout is L-shaped, 40 feet x 37 feet with a 10 foot x 8 foot branch line. There is over 1000 feet of Peco Code 55 Finescale track with the double track mainline almost 4 scale miles long.
Articles covering design, construction and operation have appeared in Journals 3/99, 4/99, 5/99, 1/00, 2/00, 3/00, 4/00, 5/00 and 6/00. Back copies are available for members to buy.
